I Think Of Myself As An Artist…

Even though Graphic Design is different than art, you must be artistic to see the design and have the artistic skills to create the designs. Artistry is a reason you select a graphic designer, you should be looking for imagination and innovation, we strive to provide all three. I believe my skills can make a difference.

When launching my design service, my goal was to provide affordable, yet breathtaking, websites, and graphic design for small entrepreneurs and performing artists… My feeling is that artistry coupled with today’s technology can make your business look like a million bucks, no matter the size. I can give my clients the look that they desire without having to invest thousands upon thousands of dollars. My specialty is translating an artistic vision into reality without sacrificing functionality.

When establishing my graphic and visual design business, I realized that I want to take a bit of a different approach. I of course, strive to be successful in business, but not just by maximizing a profit. I want to be successful by finding a way to create unique and attractive projects which offer the most value for others. I believe that if I can truly create value for you while creating a great finished product for you, it is truly the ultimate win/win scenario. Not only will you keep using me, but you will undoubtedly recommend me to others. This system of mutual benefit is key to my graphic and visual design business. I have been successful with word of mouth marketing, because of my vision. I want to help my clients succeed by helping them improve their business which in turn must certainly help them improve the overall quality of their lives.  I will help guide the client toward choosing a design that is functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. Web designs that tell a story while being practical and mobile responsive.

I am not naive, I will make a profit on my services, however, I hope to do it with integrity and the idea that every collaboration with a client is a team effort. How can the prospect of helping people to realize their dream while I’m fulfilling my own do anything but excite me?  I’m hoping that one of those people will be you!

The impact of WordPress

IT’S ALL PART OF THE PLAN

IN MY WORLD, PROPRIETARY= BAD

Let’s face it: when you are an entrepreneur and/or small business owner, every penny counts. So why pay someone to do the things that you can do yourself? Although I do have service plans that allow you to contact me when you need a small change to your website, one of the most frequent requests from my clients over the years has been to create web sites that allow those clients to be more hands on when they want to. What better way to achieve that than to create a business model that utilizes the very popular WordPress software. Wordpress is very user friendly website content management system. Not only are the word press basics relatively easy to learn, but it eliminates the issue of proprietary material.

Some visual designers are very proprietary. The more complicated the better. If you cannot figure out how to make changes to your site, you will have to call them to do so for you. Not a very time efficient option when you are faced with a small but critical update. Remember that my goal is to set the stage for your maximum success with minimal investment. Time spent waiting for your web master is time spent potentially missing income so if it’s something that you can do yourself with just a little bit of coaching, why not have the option to do it? Selecting a WordPress platform definitely gives my clients options. Once the main design is complete, most of my clients are able to understand and make changes to their website after some training by Ramsey Design.

LET’S MAKE LIFE A LITTLE MORE USER FRIENDLY…

So how does this “hands on” option work? Beautifully— if I do say so myself! You simply pay me for a beautiful website that I design. When completed, I will show you the basics of the WordPress platform so that you can make small changes and updates whenever you desire. So if you want to change a date or revise a biography, you can. You do not have to wait for me to schedule the work to be completed. But I am always here to help you in case there is a problem or something does not work right.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU…

Faith, Family, Friends and Creativity are what drive me. I want to have a partnership with every one of my clients, including you, that is more than some distant business relationship. That doesn’t mean I will show up at your home with a casserole and a bottle of whatever, but the more we get to know each other the better the website or the marketing piece. It’s all about collaboration.

Whether you are just starting your business or even if you are a well seasoned pro, I believe that Ramsey Design can offer you a new competitive edge. Ramsey Design can deliver a design that will portray you at your most irresistible, at a price that will surprise you in the most pleasant of ways. By facilitating your success, I live my dream. It doesn’t get much more rewarding than that.

… Let’s work together and let’s start right now.

A Little More About Me…

I live in Tampa Florida, with my very patient wife. My son, of whom I am very proud, is a professional in Atlanta. His beautiful new wife is in the baby delivery business, and she is a joy.

I am an example of “can do” determination. Although I have a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida, I received it before I became a visual designer. I am predominantly self-trained in the graphic arts. My desire to excel in my trade has inspired me to constantly advance my training through online courses, continuing education classes, and some limited, local classroom training.

I began my fascination with graphic art with my discovery of Photoshop. I found the tools and their abilities unbelievably empowering. Not only could I now manipulate photographs, but Photoshop catapulted me into a new world of design where I now possessed the ability to create completely new works of art.  I was immediately “hooked”. I spent every spare minute working on improving my skills.

Over the years, I have learned web design, video design, and editing, and simple animation, mostly with the use of the Adobe software. As I became adept at these systems, I realized that I could use them to benefit striving entrepreneurs who, like me, have a dream.

Because of my artistic eye, I attracted the attention of clients who were themselves artists but who specialized in the performing arts. One web site lead to another until I was working with not only traditional businesses but with artists and management teams.  I have been able to translate the vision of their art into a tangible design with aesthetically pleasing, but critical, branding.
